Sophie K, founder and director of Muscle Essence, started Muscle Essence in 2017, whilst taking a 12month break from her corporate role as Credit Manager. Having longtime hip pain, “I was sick of seeing therapists and not ridding of my issue”. My slogan “encouraging movement through massage” is owed to a therapist who gave me 90% hip relief in one session, told me he wanted to see me once more within 2 weeks and then only annually unless I developed a strain again!! That was it…It inspired me to train up in massage with a specific focus on treating chronic pain and conditions to help change people’s lives.

Sophie is a qualified & passionate massage therapist who blends a range of effective massage techniques helping treat chronic pain, aches and conditions. Her She believes that in our demanding lifestyles, our muscles are overused and under-respected.  She says, “They need a reason to ‘rebound’.  Massage helps achieve this”. Her passion to bring back mobility and efficiencies to your body is key to a healthy mindset, confidence & motivation.

Muscle Essence’s massage treatments include: Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage (MLD), Myofascial Cupping, Acupressure (trigger point) massage, Sport massage, Pregnancy massage, Corporate massage and Body Scrub massages.
